About Art Of Living:

shri-meghal-thakkarFounded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar,The Art of Living Foundation is a not-for-profit, educational and humanitarian NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) engaged in stress-management and service initiatives. The organisation operates globally in 152 countries.

The organisation’s programs are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy of peace: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world Peace.” To help individuals get rid of stress and experience inner peace, The Art of Living offers stress-elimination programs which include breathing techniques, meditation and yoga. These programs have helped millions around the world to overcome stress, depression and violent tendencies.

The Art of Living Foundation has spread peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, including conflict resolution, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all, and environmental sustainability.

Art of Living Trainer , Shri Meghal Thakkar visited Unitedworld School of Business_ Ahmedabad Campus on 25th July, 2012 ( Wednesday) and spoke on the benefits of Meditation with few free hand exercises.

Benefits of Meditation

Meditation is universal. It transcends all divides like religion, country and culture. It is a gift given to mankind to access the infinite spirit not limited by any identity. It is the only tool that can aid a person to return to innocence.

Modern life style has high exposure to anger, hate, fear and other negative emotions. These human emotions have a high tendency to duplicate and spread. For example, when a person gets cheated, he starts to suspect everything around him. This also has an impact on people around him. These emotions form strong impressions and opinions on an individual and social level. The result of which is an insecure individual and an unstable society.

Meditation helps an individual overcome these emotions to facilitate a calm peaceful mind and a healthy and stress free body. Upon daily practice an individual will blossom into an unshakable personality. With increase in the number of people who are calm, peaceful and healthy will facilitate a social transformation, enabling a society that is trusting, happy and content.

The profile of Shri Meghal Thakkar is as mentioned :

Meghal Thakkar started teaching at Art Of Living part 1 course since 1996 & part 2 since 1999.Since then he has traveled all around India & world, in countries like Russia, Mongolia, Europe, South America, Gulf, Fiji & Nepal.

Born in Gujarat, India, Shri Meghal Thakkar was always a child of calm disposition and spiritually inclination. His upbringing also nurtured these values.session-by-shri-meghal-thakkar

He completed his education in pharmacy. His exposure to his master HH Sri Sri Ravishankarji and the the Art of living dates back to 1992. Since then there has been no looking back for this seeker. He had found his oasis and each day has been a spiritual voyage as he has lernt from every moment.

His life has truly been filled with joy,enthusiasm and love. He became a teacher of the Art of Living and has been traveling far and wide across the corners of India and internationally to spread this knowledge of universal love. Through him many smiles have been sealed in the lives of people across the globe. Today he is bestowed with the capacity to teach advanced level programs in the organization. He is a Part I, Part II, srisri yoga  and a Sahaj program teacher of great repute. His aura and his soothing voice calms and brings in a settling atmosphere around him and he is loved by participants instantly for his  knowledge and practical approach towards life. Russia is truly lucky to have him spread this knowledge
