Another intra- college competition was organized by UWSB that was named as “PHOTOWALK” .This event was conducted My Mr. Manjit Singh, Founder & CEO of “Calcuttaphototours” whose objective was to help students explore and learn about the city Calcutta and capture shots that highlights the beauty of the city.

The batch of 60 students participated which was broken into nearly 10 groups. Each group captured shots, with different angles & thoughts.

It was held on 25th August 2012 and began with a meet near the Indian airlines with the tour guide sharp at 6.30 a.m. who explained the 9 destinations to be covered during the entire tour. The following destinations were snapped, the meet point followed by Buddha Dharamankur Sabha (Bengal Buddhist Association), Bow Barracks, Sea I.P church, Chinatown market, with a short breakfast and then the other destinations that followed were Beth EI Synagogue, Jain Temple, Maghen David Synagogue, and Armenian Church.

During the entire journey the students were told about the importance of each place and how did different communities settled in Kolkata from ages before. The students were amazed to know that such places and its historical importance, accompanied with capturing the beauty in every small thing around behind the lenses. This walk with a click helped the students to discover the old hidden beauty of Kolkata, which was an experience for them.
