It was a great day having Mr. Sid Banerjee, CEO & MD of Deutsche Bank with us on 27/9/2012 in UWSB Kolkata. He has experience for more than 20 years in investment banking, off shoring and IT .He has worked with ITC, Goldman Sachs, Kotak, JV, HP and has been working with Deutsche bank as MD for 6 years. He manages 80 MN EURO off shoring KPO business for the bank across India and Philippines. A true innovator, he spoke for about 45 minutes to a packed house, held spellbound by his eloquence. Senior faculty members were also present throughout the session, and thoroughly appreciated his talk. This lecture was arranged through Mr. Amit Saha, ALFA ACADEMY, an organization based in Bangalore, who is into conducting contextual knowledge based programs for MBA Pass outs and KPOs, desirers of joining the BFSI sector.
The seminar was straight to the point and its basic motto was “Career does not happen you need to make it”. Mr. Sid Banerjee explained the meaning of “Career” as being not just a job but an aggregate of jobs, related to progress, and of significant period. According to him we all generally give 20-30% of our life in building up our career. There were basically 4 commandments discussed by him to make the students understand that they as individuals should preview a big picture of the organization and should work towards the achievement of a common goal ,“We should pick the right career with right function and in the right organization”. He truly spilled the magic of bank’s tagline, “Passion to Perform”.
